Chhattisgarh Health Minister T.S. Singh Deo on Monday told officials to step up vaccination against Covid-19 and said the government has ordered 1.5 crore doses of the vaccine.
Singh Deo was addressing a meeting of health officials.
He also asked officials of the Chhattisgarh Medical Services Corp (CMSC) to coordinate with the vaccine suppliers and manage to make available more and more vaccines for the state.
He said the government had ordered 1.5 crore doses of vaccine -- 75 lakh each from Bharat Biotech and Serum Institute.
It is expected that 9 lakh doses of vaccine will arrive in May, he ssid.
