The Chhattisgarh State Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has decided to hold the Class 10 and Class 12 Board examinations for the current academic session from April 15 and May 3 respectively.
CGBSE Secretary Prof. V.K. Goyal said in a statement that keeping in view the Covid-19 pandemic, the Board has considered not to disturb the academic session of students.
He said the 10th Board exam will start on April 15 and end on May 1 while the 12th Board exam will go on from May 3 to May 24. The examination will be held offline.
The Board has decided that if a student has tested positive for Covid or comes in a lockdown area or containment zone and so fails to take the test, his/her marksheet will be marked ‘C’ instead of ‘Absent’.
Such students will not be given marks in the subjects of their absence but will be considered ‘passed’. Students with ‘C’ in their marksheet can appear in special examination conducted along with the supplementary.
From entry to seating arrangement, social distance will be maintained. All the students, teachers and school officials and employees have to mandatorily wear mask.
Covid-19 positive students will not be permitted to sit in the examination.
