Contemporary Lyrical Dance Training Workshop concluded with a wondrous performance on Wednesday.
The workshop was organised by Rangshree Little Ballet Troupe and Yogi Dance Theater. Under 15 day workshop, the participants learned many dance forms under contemporary dancing.
Renowned poet Rajesh Joshi and poet-narrator Swayam were present as the chief guest. Chhaya Sagar was also present. The performance was directed by director if Yogi Dance Theatre Yogendra Singh Rajput.
During the training, special focus was on the interdependence of art and literature. For this, two children poems and two other poems were collectively selected by the trainees. The authors of the children poems are Naveen Sagar and other poems of Raj Joshi were beautifully performed. The selection of characters according to age for the presentation made the stage performamce even more spellbinding. Apart from Yogendra Singh Rajput, Dayanidhi Mahanta, Kiran Maran, and Simran Bahl accompanied performers on stage.
In Naveen Sagar's "Udo-Udo" and "Tum Bhi Aana", the children presented the work behavior of the birds in an interesting and choreographic manner like the teachings of human emotion in an interesting choreography.
Rajesh Joshi's famous poem "Between Two Lines" was wonderdully performed. Portraying the characters and symbolizing different lines the performers Yogendra Singh Rajput and Simran Bahl won the hearts of audience.
"Main Jhukta Hoon" has man's bending actions. This is a spontaneous poem and the poem establishes human dignity and self-respect, prohibiting bending against injustice.
