Around 15,000 health workers would not take anti-Covid-19 shots but would participate in the drive for vaccinating people by wearing black badges.
If the State Government does not listen to demands for restructuring of cadre rules and revision of posts, a 'boycott syringe' stir would be launched from February 1, said the Bahumukhi Swasthyakarmi Sangha at a Press conference here on Thursday. “Though for the last 10 years, we have requested the Health Department for designation and cadre change, our pleas have fallen on deaf ears,” said the Sangha. “We will administer the vaccine to people to make the State coronavirus-free but would not take the shot ourselves. We will wear black badges from January 15. If the Government does not fulfil our demands, we will embark on a stir from February 1,” said Sangha leaders.
