The Gurugram police have arrested four persons for allegedly thrashing to death a 19-year-old student. The deceased was resident of Naharpur Rupa village and was in a relationship with a girl in Gurugram, police said.
According to the police the victim was identified as Narender alias Nitin. Police said the motive behind the killing was an altercation over relationship with a girl which preceded the attack on the victim.
The arrested culprits have been identified as Kultaj, Pradeep, Maan Singh alias Monu and Varun all resident of Gurugram.
The deceased's mother Kamlesh stated in her police complaint that his son Narender was called to Greenwood city in Sector-45 by girl’s cousin Varun on Sunday. When Nitin reached there, Varun, along with Vinay Pal Singh, Man Singh and Bodhan and Seven-Eight persons brutally thrashed him with sticks and rode away from the spot.
“We found him lying unconscious in sector-45 area with the help of phone location shared by Narender to his brother-in-law phone. He was taken to a hospital, but died during treatment on Sunday evening,” she told the police.
