In this training program, more than a hundred officers from the rank of sub-inspector to superintendent of police have participated.
On the first day of training, Supreme Court Advocate Ananth Kumar Asthana shared legal provisions, important judicial pronouncements related to sexual offences, Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection) Act-2015, key provisions, in relation to the POCSO Act.
Director General of Police and Director of Public Prosecution Anvesh Mangalam shared details regarding the common mistakes in investigation and prosecution and the expectation of the public from the police, Dr. Asma Rizwan, Professor, People's University shared on effective communication and management in stressful and challenging situations and Dr. A.K. Singh, Forensic Expert, RFSL Bhopal gave information to the trainees regarding collection and preservation of DNA in cases of sexual harassment.
