Dr Sarita Singh, programme officer of NSS (National Service Scheme) of St. Columba’s College, Hazaribagh and Anamika Gope, a volunteer, have brought laurels to the State with their philanthropic work. On Friday, President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, honoured the volunteers of NSS by presenting the National Service Scheme Award for the year 2019-20 at a function through digital medium. In this, Dr Sarita Singh, programme officer of NSS (National Service Scheme) of St. Columba’s College, Hazaribagh and volunteer Anamika Gope have been honoured with th eaward.
Dr. Sarita Singh was honoured for successful organisation of awareness campaign in Hazaribagh area for social services, cleanliness campaign, against child marriage including distribution of clothes among poor and needy people and for helping handicapped people and volunteer Anamika Gope was honoured for education to poor students This special honour was received from the hands of the President for ensuring active participation in giving, promoting digital literacy including organizing health awareness camps and blood donation camps.
Today, the entire Hazaribagh is feeling proud of this great achievement of both of them and the city is feeling proud of this achievement of both of them by hoisting the flag of Hazaribagh in the field of service across the country. This honour is inspiring for others working in the field of social service with a sense of service.
