Haryana on Thursday recorded 294 more coronavirus cases, taking the tally to 2.71 lakh, while there was no new fatality due to the pathogen, the Health Department said.
There are 1615 active cases, while 2.66 lakh people have recuperated, taking the recovery rate to 98.28 percent, according to a medical bulletin. Meanwhile, 18853 health workers inoculated on Thursday, taking the total number of vaccinated people in the State to 333,415.
The 294 new infections include 52 from Gurugram and 60 from Karnal, 44 from Panchkula districts, taking the tally 2,71,659.
With no death the previous day, the total number of fatalities stands at 3,052, the bulletin stated.
78 FRESH CASES IN CHANDIGARH
The union territory of Chandigarh on Thursday reported 78 fresh COVID-19 cases taking the total tally of infections to 22040. The death toll stood at 355 with no new fatality reported in the last 24 hours. The active cases jumped to 545 till the evening, according to the Chandigarh Health Department’s evening bulletin.
The bulletin said, “46 males and 32 females were tested positive in the last 24 hours. 36 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours taking the total number of recoveries to 21140.” 2.61 lakh samples have so far been tested in the city. A total of 1774 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours and the report of 113 was awaited, the bulletin added.
