At least 81,156 people got vaccinated on June 10 of which 50,196 were administered their first dose and 30,960 got their second dose, Aam Aadmi Party senior leader and MLA Atishi said on Friday.
Issuing Oxygen bulletin, Atishi said that Delhi has vaccinated 30 per cent of its population as 13,94,000 people have received both doses of the vaccine.
She emphasised upon vaccination being the only solution against coronavirus.
As far as the vaccine supply and availability is concerned, the segment of 45 plus which includes frontline workers, healthcare workers have received 52,87,110 doses out of which, till Friday morning. “Delhi had around 5.25 lakh doses out of which 15,000 doses were of Covaxin, which we are using as the second dose and 5 lakh doses of Covishield are available, which is being used as both first and second dose,” she said.
“We are carrying out an intensive outreach campaign titled ‘Jahan Vote, Vahin Vaccine’ for those above 45 years wherein booth level officers and party ground teams are going to each and every house and registering those who are 45 plus and who have not been vaccinated. A vaccination centre is being set up at each polling centre where people go to cast their vote,” she added. The AAP leader further said that since the Central Government has said that it will give the supply of vaccines for 18-44 years from 21st June, we hope Delhi will soon receive an adequate supply of the vaccine, so that we can vaccinate all those in the 18-44 age group.”
