Four government employees were on Friday arrested in Chhattisgarh for accepting bribes, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) said.
They include Bilaigarh Janpad Panchayat CEO Kuleshwar Gaikwad (60) in Baloda Bazaar and Patwaris Mukesh Kumar Bisai (27) in Ungarapal in Bastar, Amit Gupta (30) in Rajpur in Balrampur and Gajendra Chandravanshi (37) in Kabirdham, ACB Superintendent of Police Panakaj Chandra said.
Gaikwad demanded Rs 20,000 to clear a payment Rs 3 lakh related to construction work in a school, the officer said. Bisai was held for asking for Rs 8,000 for mutation work.
Gupta sought Rs 40,000 to provide land records and Chandravanshi was nabbed while accepting Rs 11,000 for giving a loan book of agriculture land, Chandra added.
