About 40-45 people fell ill in Golokutung village under Rajnagar block of Seraikela Kharsawan district and were admitted in the hospital last night after complaining of diarrhoea-like symptoms.
Dr Jagannath Hembram, the medical officer-in-charge of the Community Health informed the matter to the Block Development Officer and the station in-charge, necessary medicines were made available to all the sick people.
On the instructions of Congress leader and Singhbhum MP Geeta Koda, the patients were admitted to the hospital by the representative of MP Motilal Gaur. And while talking to the civil surgeon for better treatment, he was assured of all possible help.
Doctors are also not giving any clear reason for the disease spread simultaneously. It is being speculated that the persons would have been suffering from food poisoning after taking part in a community feast outside houses.
