A 40-year-old man committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at his house in Bakania under Khajuri Sadak police station area on Tuesday.
Police said that the deceased Geeta Prasad committed suicide at his house. The deceased used to work as farmer. In the initial investigation the family members told police that deceased was heavily addicted to liquor and used to fight with the family members after having liquor.
On Wednesday, the deceased was alone at his house while his son and wife had gone to visit doctor. The two returned and found Geeta hanging and was rushed to hospital where he was declared dead. Body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and started further investigation.
Police would record statement of the family members which could help in revealing the reason behind the suicide. From the spot police have not found any suicide note and started further investigation.
Meanwhile, a 42-year old man died after being bitten by a snake near Raja Dhaba under Ratibad police station area on Tuesday. According to the police Raja Dangi was bitten by snake and was rushed to hospital. The snake bit Raj and he raised alert after which locals rushed to his help and spotted a snake leaving the spot.
