State capital city Bhubaneswar on Saturday registered 439 new Covid-19 positive cases, with which its total tally rose to 83,609.
Out of the new cases, 354 were local contact cases and 85 were quarantine cases.
The local contacts included 25 cases in Nayapalli, 22 in Patia, 20 in Dumduma, 18 each in Jharpada and Khandagiri, 15 cases in Patrapada, 13 in Laxmisagar, 12 in Badagada and nine in Unit-8.
Currently, the active cases stood at 5,088 in the city.
Meanwhile, four more persons succumbed to the disease in the city, mounting the total death toll to 377.
However, 881 patients recovered on the day, increasing the total recoveries to 78,123.
