5 bike ambulances to run in Deoghar: DC

Bike ambulances were flagged off in Deoghar on Saturday by Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Manjunath Bhajantri and Superintendent of Police Ashwini Kumar Sinha with a view to strengthen the health facilities in the district. 

The DC said that bike ambulances have been arranged for the purpose of providing free health facilities in urban areas and surrounding areas. Currently, a situation is arising at times when ambulances are not available to carry people. Under such circumstances, the system of bike ambulance has now been ensured for the convenience of the people,added DC.

He informed that five bike ambulances will be operated with the aim of providing health services at a rapid speed.  With the help of this, immediate first aid will be given to the people. 

Along with this, the health facility will be made available to the people very easily in the urban and nearby areas by bike ambulance and apart from this, a bike ambulance will be able to reach a large ambulance immediately on the narrow streets and small places, so that people can be provided timely health care.

The district administration is working for the prevention of corona infection in the district and constant efforts are being made to increase it by regularly reviewing the available medical resources and also, seeing the health facility of the ambulance drivers, he added further.

The DC directed the officials concerned to ensure that all the necessary arrangements, besides the provision of masks, sanitisers, gloves, PP kits.

Apart from this, the SP, who was present on the occasion, informed the media representatives that in order to meet the shortage of ambulances at present, the helpline number can be dialed and informed for assistance, so that facility will be made available to the people using bike ambulances. He further informed that the bike ambulance will be used for the patients seeking assistance from the district administration as well as the police,added SP.

In addition to the above, Civil Surgeon Dr. Yugal Kishore Chaudhary, District Public Relations Officer Ravi Kumar, Nazrat Deputy Collector, Parmeshwar Munda, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Mangal Singh Jamuda, Cyber DSP Mrs. Neha Bala and concerned officers etc. were present during the flagged off the ambulance.
