5T Secretary VK Pandian on Saturday reviewed the progress of ‘High School Transformation’ programme in Sundargarh district over videoconferencing from the Lok Seva Bhawan and interacted with the stakeholders of all 17 blocks.
All Government High Schools of Sundargarh district would be transformed under the Government’s 5T initiative. The review included 40 schools to be covered under first phase of the programme.A ‘Vision Document’ prepared by the district administration containing the roadmap, role of stakeholders and new initiatives to achieve the vision was released in the review meeting. Sundargarh Collector Nikhil Pavan Kalyan solicited wholehearted support from all concerned to make the programme successful.
While elaborating on the programme, Pandian said CM Naveen Patnaik has envisioned for transforming the Government schools in the State. This would enhance the learning environment, standard of teaching and usher in holistic development of the schools through collaboration of parents, alumni and local community. “By achieving this mandate, we can ensure a better future for our students,” said the 5T Secretary. Collector Kalyan informed the media that under the initiative, all Government, Aided and TRW schools of the district have been included. A target of completing the first-phase transformation before October 2 has been set.
