More than 60 lakh people have been vaccinated in the national Capital, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Kalkji Assembly seat, Atishi, said presenting the vaccination bulletin on Sunday.
“In Delhi, 30 per cent of the total population above the age of 18 years has been given the first dose of the vaccine. So far, 46,33,650 people have been given the first dose of the vaccine, which is 30 per cent of Delhi’s total population above 18 years of age. Apart from this, 14.40 lakh people have received both the doses of the vaccine. On June 12, 83,113 people were given vaccine doses in Delhi. In which 54,788 people were given the first dose and 28,325 people were given the second dose,” she said.
Delhi has less than two days of stock of Covaxin left for youth and less than one day of Covishield. “61,000 doses are left for the youth of 18 to 44 years, including 18,000 doses of Covaxin and 43,000 doses of Covishield are available, the AAP leader said. “We would like to appeal to the central Government to maintain a regular supply of vaccines for the people of of 18 to 44 years. Because the more vaccines we make available to the youth, the more hesitation about the vaccine will be removed,” she added.
She said that 53,59,910 vaccine doses have been received for those above 45 years of age, out of which 5.58 lakh doses are left. Available in stock for 11 days of Covaxin and 24 days of Covishield for 45+.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, Delhi received 72,800 doses of Covaxin yesterday for the above 45 years age category.
