The 64th National Shooting Championship Competition (Rifle) is being organized from November 25 to December 10 at Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy, Bhopal.
It is organised under the joint aegis of Sports and Youth Welfare Department and National Rifle Association of India. The matches of the competition will be played daily from 8:15 am to 5:00 pm. All the preparations have been completed by the Sports Department for the better conduct of the championship.
Competitions will be played in 10 meters and 50 meters in the championship. The number of male players of rifle in the competition is 2202 and the number of female players is 1301. The number of male players under 18 years of age in the championship are 706 and the number of female players are 504.
The championship will be inaugurated on Thursday at Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy, Bisankhedi, Bhopal by Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia chaired by Iqbal Singh Bais, Chief Secretary, MP and Ramesh Mendola, President, MP State Rifle Association.
Secretary General of the National Rifle Association of India, Kunwar Sultan Singh, told that the MP State Shooting Academy has all the facilities for the championship.
