70 new +ve cases in UP

Seventy new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in Uttar Pradesh during the last 24 hours while 155 infected persons recovered, according to Additional  Chief Secretary (Information) Navneet Sehgal.
At present, the number of active cases of coronavirus infection in the state is 1,093. In the last 24 hours, 2,36,546 Covid tests were conducted in the state. So far, a total of 6,28,26,817 Covid tests have been conducted in the state. The recovery rate of coronavirus infection in the state is 98.6 per cent. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who reviewed the COVID-19 situation in the state on Tuesday, said that due to the active efforts of the state government, the coronavirus epidemic had been effectively controlled.
It was informed in the meeting that there is not a single patient of COVID-19 in Shravasti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Mahoba, Lalitpur, Hathras and Aligarh districts. These districts are free from coronavirus infection.
No new cases of coronavirus infection have been found in 41 districts, while in 33 districts fresh cases are in single digit.
It was also informed in the meeting that more than 98 lakh Covid vaccine doses have been given so far in the month of July. So far, more than 4,10,51,000 vaccine doses have been given in the state.
The chief minister said that in view of the possibility of a third wave of COVID-19, all arrangements should be kept effective. He said adequate availability of all necessary medical equipment such as BiPAP machines, mobile X-ray etc. and human resources should be ensured in medical colleges and hospitals.
He said that during the coronavirus period, there were complaints of financial exploitation of patients by some private hospitals, which was not good. He said action had been taken in many such cases.  He said that taking cognisance of each such complaint, investigation should be made and if found true, strict action should be taken against the hospital concerned.
