AAP begins fogging drive

Thursday, 28 October 2021 | Staff Reporter | NEW DELHI

In view of increasing cases of vector borne diseases in Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) launched fogging campaigns across the national capital on Wednesday.

Party MLAs, councillors and office bearers participated in the fogging campaign - covering all 70 Assemblies in Delhi. AAP Chief Spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj said that each and every corner of the city will be fogged under the campaign.

“The AAP leaders will personally ensure that fogging is done in every gali-mohalla of Delhi within seven days,” he said.AAP National Spokesperson and MLA Raghav Chadha said “It is the legal responsibility of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi to make Delhi mosquito-free by fogging, which it has failed to execute.

When the BJP’s MCD turned its back on the people of Delhi, the AAP stepped in to save the day and protect the people against dengue.”

Bhardwaj launched the fogging campaign in the Greater Kailash Vidhan Sabha along with Councillor Pooja Jakhar, while party national spokesperson and MLA Raghav Chadha took charge for the same in Rajinder Nagar Vidhan Sabha.

During this, Saurabh Bhardwaj said that this mega fogging campaign against dengue has been started inside 70 assemblies of Delhi.

Speaking on the occasion, Raghav Chadha said that the BJP-ruled MCD is responsible for carrying out fogging in Delhi to prevent dengue. “When the BJP turned its back on the people of Delhi, the Kejriwal government stepped in and took this responsibility on itself to right BJP led MCD’s wrongs. They have failed to fulfil their legal responsibility, but the municipal corporation is deeply corrupt. The councillors of the BJP are only driven to fill their pockets and commit scams. They have no interest in cleaning the city or making it mosquito-free,”
