AIIMS Rishikesh ready for vaccination drive: Ravikant

The Director of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh, Ravikant has said that the efforts would be made to vaccinate all frontline health workers in three months. He said that two vaccination centres would be built in the institute and all preparation for the vaccination is complete. On Tuesday the team of Community and Family Medicine Department of AIIMS took part in the ‘ ‘Dry run’.  The head of the Department of Community and Family Medicine Department, AIIMS, Dr Vartika Saxena said that AIIMS has six thousand health workers and they would be vaccinated in a phased manner. She informed that a waiting area, vaccinator room and observation room have been made in the centre as per the standards set by the central government. Dr Saxena added that a ventilator has also been arranged on the spot so that the person concerned can be given complete treatment on the spot on receipt of any kind of side effect during vaccination.
