He said that the State Government is committed towards rural development and has implemented several programmes and schemes for the upliftment of poor and needy, due to which people have supported the people associated with the ideology of BJP in the Panchayati Raj elections.

The Chief Minister said that Rs 850 crore have been provided in the year 2018-19 and 2019-20 by the 14th Finance Commission and Rs 214 crore have been provided on the recommendation of the 15th Finance Commission for various development works.
