Seven armed assailants were booked for attacking a 24-year-old grocery seller with sharp-edged weapons at Ambedkar Nagar under Kamla Nagar police station area late on Wednesday night; youth’s mother was assaulted who came to rescue.According to the police, the victim Neeraj Mishra was attacked by miscreants Shubham Sardar, Ashutosh, Kalla, Vishal, Mogli and Arshad Khan when he was at his grocery shop.
The injured victim went unconscious and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was reportedly critical and while his mother sustained multiple injuries. Police said that the assailants were friends with victim and Shubham and Neeraj had a fight over some issue and angered over the earlier dispute victim was attacked with sharp edged weapon in his head, neck, stomach and hands.The accused escaped the spot after the attack and are still absconding, police have started search for the attackers. Police have raided several places but failed to find the accused who are still at large.The attackers have been booked by Kamla Nagar police for different crimes. After the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case of attempt to murder, assault and rioting and have started further investigation. The condition of victim remained critical and police are yet to record his statements.
