Saturday, 27 November 2021 | PNS | BALANGIR

After the Balangir police cracked the murder of one Biswadev Sahu, whose half-burnt body was found behind the Rajendra University PG Hostel on Tuesday, a video clip following the brutal killing has now gone viral on social media platforms.

The video clip showed the two accused Amit Manhira and Subham Singh burning the dead body of Sahu after killing him with a sharp weapon and brandishing the murder weapon.

Singh, while recording the video, can be seen issuing threats to someone who was yet to be identified.

“Dekh jalaya jaa raha hai maar ke insaan ko. Main yahin jalaya hun. Dekh jaa rahein hain jalake, abhi nikalte hain" (See, a man is being burnt after being murdered. I have set him on fire at this spot. And, we are going after killing and burning him), Singh said in the clip.

Threatening fo someone by brandishing the murder weapon, Singh could be seen saying, “Dekh le beta issi se khoon hua hai, isse se khoon kiya hoon. Ab teri bari hai" (I have killed him with this weapon and it’s your turn now).

Earlier on Wednesday, Bolangir Sadar SDPO Tofan Bag had said Manhira and Sahu were in love with a girl and had a rift over it . However, their friend Singh had turned into a mediator between them and was trying to solve the dispute.

In order to solve the dispute between the two, Singh had called Manhira and Sahu to the backside of PG Hostel. However, Sahu had an altercation with Manhira and Singh, the SDPO said.

The duo lost their cool and in a fit of rage, attacked Sahu with a sharp weapon killing him on the spot. Later, they set Sahu’s body on fire and fled from the spot.

Police picked up both of them for questioning suspecting their involvement in the case and during the interrogation, both confessed to the crime.
