A Block Education Officer (BEO) in Chhattisgarh's Narayanpur distirct has been suspended after a media report said that he had posted a pornographic video on social media.
The action came after Chhattisgarh State Commission for Women Chairperson Dr Kiranmayee Nayak took suo moto cognizance of the report on Friday.
Based on primary investigation, Bastar Commissioner G.R. Churendra ordered the suspension under the Chhattisgarh Civil Services Conduct Rules 1995 and the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Classification Control and Appeal) 1966.
The BEO reportedly later deleted the post and apologized for his mistake. But before it was deleted, several teachers took screen shots which then circulated in the social media.
