Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday said that establishing quality education system in the State is the priority of the Government. “Work is being done with commitment to improve the standard of education. Our Government is serious about solving the problems of contractual education workers. “It is our priority to start getting benefits of the policy of ‘Contractual Worker Welfare Society’ working under the overall education”, he said, in the first meeting of "Contractual Worker Welfare Society working under the overall education" organised by Jharkhand Education Project Council here on Monday.
Soren said that a welfare fund has been formed for the members of the contractual workers' welfare society working under the overall education. Integrated and other para teachers, KGV, BRP-CRP personnel will now are able to get the benefit of Rs 5 lakh insurance amount. He said that under the welfare fund policy, normal death during the tenure of integrated and other para teachers, KGV, BRP-CRP contractual personnel, their dependent spouse or minor children and dependent parents are to be provided assistance.
In the meeting, it was informed before the CM that loan assistance has also been arranged in the benefits provided to the members of the welfare fund. For this, it was decided by the government to give loans on the entire available amount of 10 crore corpus fund’s interest. For the higher education of the son and daughter of the member and for the marriage of the daughter, a provision of maximum loan of Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 lakh has been made. Similarly, for the treatment of incurable disease declared by the State government, a loan provision has been made in the welfare fund policy.
