Bhopal Crime Branch nabs miscreant for selling firearms

The Bhopal Crime Branch nabbed a miscreant who was was engaged in selling of  firearms illegally and recovered three country-made pistols and five cartridges from his possession near  Ashima Mall on  Wednesday; Itarsi based accused is still absconding and search has been started.

Acting on a tip off regarding miscreant near Ashima Mall carrying firearms illegally was nabbed and when he was checked three country made pistols and five live cartridges were recovered. The nabbed accused wasin search of customer to sell the firearms when he was caught. They were identified as Shubham Verma(26) of Gauharganj Raisen.

After the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 25 and 27 of the Arms Act. Deepak is resident of Raisen while he confessed that that Chhatarpal of Itarsi has provided firearms and has been providing the same for long and based on the details police investigated and found that the accused has been booked for several crimes in Itarsi.

The police raided few places in search of the absconding accused but he managed to remain absconding. More crimes would be confessed in the further investigation and the source and customers which the two used to sell the weapons would be searched in the further questioning of the nabbed miscreants.

Details of the firearms would be searched as it is possible that the firearms were stolen and later sold.
