Bhopal receives heavy rainfall

State capital received heavy rainfall on the conclusion of Durga festival on Saturday; hot and humid conditions prevailed in the day and rainfall provided relief from the harsh weather conditions.

The uneasiness in the weather conditions was relieved after downpour came heavily late in the evening. In the past 24 hours few regions of Jabalpur witnessed rainfall while other divisions remained dry.

Met department told that the withdrawal of monsoon has started and these activities are due to system which are abrupt and for short periods.

Few regions witnessed temperature as high as 36 degree Celsius which was recorded in Nowgong. The  Met department made forecast of thunder lightening and rainfall and which are witnessed on Saturday.

Chambal division recorded significant dip in night temperatures. The lowest night temperature was recorded at 17 degree Celsius in Nowgong.

Trend of decreasing night temperature has been witnessed across the state for the two days. In the state capital temperatures have dipped over 7 degree Celsius in the past 2-3 days due to change in the wind direction.

The rainfall would further bring mercury down and dryness in the weather condition would increase in the next 2-3 days.

Warning of thundery activities and lightening has been issued for Jabalpur, Shahdol, Bhopal, Hoshangabad divisions and Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone and Badwani districts.

A low pressure area over Southeast Asia and  cyclonic circulation and WD are active systems which are inducing changes in the weather.
