The BJP on Wednesday slammed the ruling AAP for blaming the Central Government on Covid-19 vaccine procurement from foreign nations. In a joint conference, the parliamentarians, Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Legislative Assembly and Delhi BJP president, criticised the Kejriwal Government, questioning the AAP on 50 lakh vaccines administered in the Capital. Gupta said, “When Central Govt allotted vaccines, the Kejriwal Govt was talking about procuring it directly from the manufacturers, but now Kejriwal is approaching the Centre...”                  

Alleging AAP for vaccinating only AAP’s nearer, LOP Bidhuri said, AAP MLAs and leaders connived with administration to see slots for registration for 18-44 age group are not available to all in that group and only made available to Kejriwal’s nears and dears. Till when Kejriwal will continue to cheat people this way, he must answer.``

BJP Member of Parliament (MP) from East Delhi, Gautam Gambhir said when Centre has laid out a clear road map to vaccinate the country by December, this year, why is CM Kejriwal creating panic?” “Sputnik and its associates together will give 25.81 crore doses by December.  Covishield from January till April produced 6 crore doses every month or 24 crores so far. In current month and June, they have assured 13 crore doses,”

“The Serum Institute of India has said by year end there will be 106 crore doses, DNA ZYDUS CADILA from August to December will give 5 crore, Protein Subunit vaccine Bio-e from August to December will make 10 crore doses monthly or 50 crores in all while MRNA Vaccine Genova from September to December one crore a month, or 4 crore in all. Also, Intranasal vaccine BBIL from Sept to Dec is assured 10 crore a month or 40 crore in all. Even after this detailed break up of vaccine availability in times to come, Kejriwal continues to pin the blame on Centre to hide his own inefficiency,” the BJP leader added.
