BJP delegation seeks Governor’s intervention in Covid situation

Tuesday, 11 May 2021 | Staff Reporter | RAIPUR

A delegation of the Chhattisgarh BJP called on the Chhattisgarh Governor on Monday and sought her intervention in the Covid-19 situation in the state.

The delegation urged her to issue directives to the state government on issues raised in a representation to counter the pandemic in state.

Addressing the media, former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said: “The opposition had taken an initiative to interact with the Chief Minister and forward suggestions how to fight the pandemic in the state, shoulder to shoulder.”

State BJP President Vishnudeo Sai sought one-on-one interaction with the Chief Minister but only a virtual appointment was given.

The state government is disrespecting the initiative taken by the opposition, he said, adding that is why the Governor's intervention was sought.

He asked the government to come up with a work plan for six months as 1.30 crore beneficiaries have to be vaccinated.
