Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) alleged on Tuesday that the Bharatiya Janata Party cheated the public in the name of Adhivakta Kalyan Nidhi.
RLD's national spokesperson Anupam Mishra, on Tuesday, targeted the Yogi Adityanath government, saying that the BJP had promised to increase the advocate welfare fund from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakh in its manifesto in the 2017 assembly elections.
“But the BJP, which is moving towards completing its four-and-a-half year term, has not fulfilled its promise,” he said.
Mishra said the BJP government had made many such promises in its manifesto which it had not fulfilled, so it could be said that BJP's manifesto was nothing more than a bundle of false promises.
He said that who could deny that the lives of advocates were full of struggle and troubles. “The life of a lawyer is full of ups and downs despite their continuous efforts to provide justice to the common man,” he said.
Mishra cautioned the state government and said that there was a lot of anger and unrest among the advocates due to this betrayal of the government and the government would have to bear the brunt of it in the coming times.
The RLD spokesman said that if the Rashtriya Lok Dal-led government assumed office in the state, many welfare schemes would be started for advocates so that they could provide justice to every section of society while leading a dignified and prosperous life.
