BJP State General Secretary Aditya Sahu has once again attacked the State Government for delay in appointment of permanent Chairman and Vice-Chairman at Jharkhand Academic Council.

The BJP leader said that two senior posts (Chairman and Vice Chairman) at Jharkhand Academic Council is laying vacant for past three months since September 14, but the state government is least interested in making permanent  appointments.

He said that ever since JAC, the apex body which has been bestowed with the responsibility of conducting Class X and XII examinations, has been formed, this is the first time that two senior posts are lying vacant.

The Jharkhand Government has not been able to fill the post of JAC chairman and vice chairman for three months. Sahu said that earlier Dr. Phool Singh was removed from the post and Dr. Shankar Lal was made the vice-chairman.  He said that now again the government is making such a mistake that till now JAC is not reinstating the chairman and vice-chairman. He said that the Jharkhand government has become a joke due to such an incident. He said that the government should appoint the JAC chairman and vice chairman as soon as possible so that all the work of JAC continues smoothly.

He said that it has been learned from reliable sources that under a conspiracy, JAC Secretary is trying to take full charge, while giving full charge to the Secretary in JAC is not justified.

He said that the post of JAC chairman is constitutional. It is not appropriate to give the charge of the post of chairman to the secretary.He said that in the past it has been a tradition that in the absence of the chairman, the vice-chairman gets the charge. He said that the State Government should immediately appoint the chairman and vice-Chairman in the larger interest of the JAC employees, students.

It may be noted that recently, State Education Minister Jagannath Mahto has announced that the JAC chairman will be appointed.It may be noted that after the retirement of Jharkhand Academic Council chairman Arvind Prasad Singh and Vice chairman Phool Singh in September this year the post of two senior officers is lying vacant.

Sources said that as per the rule, in the absence of JAC chairman and vice chairman many administrative works are pending. The work related to the employees is also pending as the posts of chairman and vice chairman are vacant.
