BJP national general secretary cum state in-charge Dilip Saikia has stressed on strengthening the party at booth level. Saikia, who was in the State capital attending the BJP working committee meeting said that BJP is a vibrant organization, so there is a need to make its lowest unit booth also alive. He directed party leaders to organise booth level functions to strengthen the party. Highlighting the journey of BJP since Jan Sangh era, the BJP state in-charge said that BJP is ideology based party as it never compromised with our policy principles. Giving mantra to BJP workers, Saikia said that each worker has a fixed position, goal and methodology.

He said, “The party believes in collective leadership, not individuals. The example of democracy is seen only in a party like BJP, not in other parties.” He said that after 70 years of independence, India’s self-respect has re-awakened under the leadership of Modi ji. India is on the way to become a world leader. The worker has an important responsibility in building a new India, he said.

He said that it should be the responsibility of the workers to take the schemes of the Centre to the people. He said that the organization has to work with team spirit. All workers should have one goal, common aspiration. Everyone needs to be united to make India powerful.

Meanwhile, BJP Legislature Party leader and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi said that both the hands of the state government are involved in corruption. While on the one hand the Modi government is transferring funds to the beneficiaries account through DBT, while on other hand there is an affair of commission in the tender process, the government is distributing substandard dhoti sarees, blankets to people.

He said that the police administration of the state was acting as a tool of the government.  He also targeted the state government for not reducing the State’s VAT share. He said, “The Congress-JMM are continuously agitating against the central government for reducing the price of petrol and diesel, but contrary to this State Government has not reduced its share of VAT.”
