Bhaini Sahib sports model to be replicated in Pb

Ludhiana:  To promote sports in Punjab especially in the rural hinterland, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Saturday announced the construction of sports grounds on Bhaini Sahib sports model at block and district level.  On his first visit to Shri Bhaini Sahib in the district, Channi accompanied by Namdhari Sect Chief Satguru Uday Singh, former PPCC Chief HS Hanspal, Samrala MLA Amrik Singh Dhillon, Sultanpur Lodhi MLA Navtej Singh Cheema, MLA Gill and Chairman Punjab State Warehouse Corporation Kuldeep Singh Vaid, inspected the AstroTurf and said that Punjab Government would replicate this cost-effective and feasible model of the Astroturfs and grounds in the entire state.

 

Haryana’s Bhattu Kalan police station awarded

Chandigarh:  Bhattu Kalan Police station of Fatehabad district was on Saturday awarded with India’s one of the three best police stations trophy for the year 2021, at a function held in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.  A Haryana Police spokesperson informed that Union Home Minister Amit Shah presented the trophy to Sub Inspector Om Parkash, Station House Officer of Bhattu Kalan Police Station. The Union Ministry of Home Affairs had earlier adjudged Bhattu Kalan police station among the top-three police stations in the country. DGP Haryana PK Agrawal congratulated the SP Fatehabad and entire staff of Bhattu Kalan police station on their success. It will inspire other police stations of the state to excel in public service. The Union Ministry of Home Affairs conducts the survey of the police stations across the country annually during which it judges the police stations on the basis of parameters like crime rate, investigation and disposal of cases, infrastructure, and delivery of public service, among other features.

 

GURDASPUR SUGAR MILL’s CAPACITY TO BE ENHANCED

GURDASPUR: Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi on Saturday laid foundation stone to enhance the existing capacity from 2000 TCD to 5000 TCD in Cooperative Sugar MilL, Gurdaspur at a cost of Rs, 413.80 crore.  After laying the foundation stone,he said that with increased capacity the Mill would daily crush 50,000 to 60,000 tons of sugarcane besides supplying 20mw power to state grid. He said that the project would be completed at a cost of Rs 413.80 crore including Rs. 369 crore is to be incurred on setup of plant, machinery and civil works.
