Border Security Force Training Center and School at Meru, Hazaribag on Wednesday conducted a cleanliness drive in the different parts of the town. The civilian residents of the town also took part in this drive. This is the fourth time when BSF conducted such a drive to aware the local police towards cleanliness and hygiene.
The BSF team was headed by the Assistant Commandant Manoj Kumar with more than four dozen jawans of BSF. The team firstly reached Annada Chowk and cleaned the area with the help of jawans and the civilians along with former deputy Mayor Anand Dev. They removed a huge quantity of garbage with the help of a machine and dumped it outside the town area.
After the Annada Chowk the team reached the daily market. They cleaned the whole area of the daily market. They lifted the garbage with the help of trucks and tractors and dumped it to the dumping area of Hazaribag municipal area.
Kumar said that during the drive the role of civilians was very much appreciable, which shows how much the public of Hazaribag were interested in cleaning their own town.
He said that last year on the occasion of Chhath they had also conducted the same drive on the Jheel area of the town. After that Gandhi Maidan, bus stand’s area and main road were cleaned.
After joining as commandant Inspector General, Ravi Gandhi regularly directed his subordinates to increase their activities in the civil areas, so that everyone came to know the role of BSF on the social platform.
