Following an enquiry into the matter in which the construction and demolition (C&D) waste plant operator who had completely sublet its work to a third party, is yet to respond to the show-cause notice to the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) even after two weeks.
A notice was issued by the civic body asking IL&FS company to explain why action should not be taken against it.
The company, instead of replying, has sought more time to file its reply again. Corporation Commissioner Mukesh Kumar Ahuja has now given the company time to file its reply by September 27.
Apart from this, no action has been taken on behalf of the corporation till now against the company which is illegally lifting construction waste and charging from the people.
The work of disposal of debris on behalf of the Municipal Corporation has been signed with the Company but the company sublet its work to some other agency which is against the agreement.During the probe it found that the company gave the contract to a third party, completely flouting the contract norms.
We have served the concessionaire a show-cause notice. They have sought 15 days to reply but even after 15 days of the notice, the company has not yet filed its reply in the corporation.
“The company was given a show-cause notice, but the company has now sought time to give its reply, before taking any action, it is necessary to hear their side, so now the company has time till September 27 to file a reply,” said a senior MCG official.
