As many as 27 fresh cases of the Covid-19 reported in the national Capital on Saturday while the positivity rate stands at 0.04 per cent, according to data shared by the health department of the Delhi government.
According to the bulletin the total number of fatalities stands at 25,085, while the cumulative case tally has reached 14386885. At least 68,498 tests, including 46,555 RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests, were conducted in the last 24 hours,” it said.
Three fatalities due to the coronavirus infection have been reported in the national capital this month -- one each on September 7, September 16 and September 17.
As per the bulletin, out of 11,804 available beds in hospitals, 219 are occupied as on Saturday while the rest are vacant. As many as 1413221 people have either been discharged, have recovered or migrated out, it added.
Forty eight cases were reported in Delhi On Thursday with a positivity rate of 0.07 per cent, while on Wednesday, 30 cases were logged with a positivity rate of 0.04 per cent. On Tuesday, 39 cases were recorded with a positivity rate of 0.06 per cent.
The daily case count had dropped to 17 on September 13, with no death being recorded, while the positivity rate stood at 0.04 per cent, according to official figures.
In order to deal with the possible third Covid-19 wave, the Delhi government has taken a number of measures including doubling the number of ‘Intensive Care Unit’ (ICU) beds since the last wave. The city government has been ramping up health infrastructure to prevent a repeat of the crisis witnessed during the peak of the second wave of the pandemic in April-May.
