A Center of Excellence on Refrigeration and Air Conditioning has been established in Rabindranath Tagore University in collaboration with Daikin, an internationally renowned company.
Special skill courses related to refrigeration and air condition maintenance and installation have been started at the national level in the Mechanical Department of the University. Skill courses consist of courses of varying durations, from which the student gets to know about the maintenance and installation of refrigeration and air conditioning.
Also, basic knowledge related to types of refrigeration and their electric circuit is provided. Sanjeev Gupta, Dean, Department of Engineering and Technology of the University informed that the students are also getting practical knowledge through the equipments kept in the centre.
This will help the students to set up jobs and businesses in the refrigeration and air-conditioning sector which will benefit the society.
The Registrar of the University, Vijay Singh said that the endeavor of the University is better academia-industry partnership. So that the students can adopt the necessary skills of the present era.
Brahprakash Pethia, Vice Chancellor RNTU while congratulating the establishment of this center said that it will benefit the students of the university. The focus of the university has always been on skill development. The main feature of the center will be to make available its special role and information in the field of various challenges faced in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning.
It is worth mentioning that Daikin is a reputed multinational company of air conditioning, which is using modern technologies for its products.
