Centre following city’s micro-containment zone model: Sisodia

Sunday, 11 April 2021 | Staff Reporter | NEW DELHI

With the AAP Government’s concept of home isolation, creating micro-containment zones and other Covid-19 protocol followed by other States and even the BJP- ruled Centre is reiterating the same, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia Saturday requested the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to cooperate with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and engage in fruitful dialogue for our nation’s progress.

“We are happy that the Central Government is following the Covid-19 protocol conceptualised by the Delhi Government. I would recommend Prime Minister Narendra ModiJi to please cooperate with the Chief Minister and engage in fruitful dialogue for our nation’s progress,” said Sisodia.

“Recently when Union Home Minister Amit Shah was campaigning in West Bengal, he promised free electricity up to 200 units if the BJP elected to power. In Kerala, the BJP has promised to free public transport for women and in Tamil Nadu, the party has said that they will  bring in a model of governance that’s similar to what can be seen in Delhi,” he said.

Talking about the recent interaction that the Prime Minister held with Chief Ministers on COVID management, Sisodia said, “Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi has insisted upon the relevance of home isolation and how a strong line of defence it is, in containing COVID. The PM also mentioned the importance of creating micro containment zones across the country.”

Sisodia said that Arvind Kejriwal is the only leader in the nation to hold a vision for the aam aadmi. He said that Arvind Kejriwal’s model of governance is now being emulated by other political parties. The senior leader said that the electoral campaigns of BJP and Congress were based on the Arvind Kejriwal model of governance.

“Since the BJP was now following the Kejriwal model of governance, he hoped that they would not act as an obstructionist in Delhi Government’s initiatives for citizens,” he said.

Sisodia also said, “In Assam, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi has promised free electricity. Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has announced free rides for women in public buses despite the fact that there are not enough public buses in Punjab. I have noted that the BJP and the Congress are fighting elections across the country on the foundation of the Kejriwal model of governance, This proves that Kejriwal is the only leader with a vision for the nation,” he said.
