Under Amrit Mahotsav, Madhya Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board organised Charkha Khadi Utsav at Bhopal Haat that began from Saturday.
It is organised to provide a market for the materials produced by entrepreneurs/handicrafts man with the aim of providing sustainable employment and financially self-reliant to the artisans, weavers and other artisans working in rural areas.Notably, 110 units of Khadi, Village Industries, Matikala and Handicrafts from 12 states have been put up.
Attractive and beautiful Mulberry, Kosa, Silk Sarees, Suits, Khadi Sarees, Khadi Textiles, Woolen Shawl, Ladies and Gents readymade Garments of all types of Khadi Textiles, Home Furnishing, Decorative Materials, Artistic and Decorative Materials of Matikala, Jute.
There are bamboo items, wooden furniture, leather bags, belts, purses, incense sticks, shampoos, sanitizers, pure and natural spices, honey, pickles, papad, flour, gram flour, porridge etc.
For the purpose of awareness in the festival, spinning of khadi threads, weaving of khadi fabrics, work of making earthen pots on electrically powered chalk, selected jute material manufacturing and zari zardozi work for Bhopal under the "One District One Product" scheme of MP Administration.
Besides, musical events will also be organised for the Bhopalites to enjoy the shopping.
