The Yogi Adityanath-led government is all set to celebrate this year's International Women's Day on Monday in the most special way under its ambitious Mission Shakti campaign across the state.
Under its successful initiative, 'Chaupals' will be conducted at various primary schools as well as Kasturba Gandhi schools across the villages to spread awareness about the safety, dignity and empowerment of women.
Apart from this, the government will also allow free-of-cost visits of women to ancient and historical places in the state. The government has also issued directives to organise an oath-taking ceremony of the guardians for the safety of the daughters for which Rs 1,000 has been released to each school.
"With the aim to make the new generation the carrier of culture that guarantees respect and protection to women, many campaigns and awareness programmes are being run by the Yogi-led government," an official said.
In this sequence, mass public meetings will be held to ensure women's security and empowerment on the occasion of Women's Day in all schools of the state.
Apart from this, the school's headmasters, wardens and facilitators will promote these awareness activities in their respective villages and gram panchayats, etc.
The various programmes will educate daughters about 'Good Touch and Bad Touch'. Information about the government's women helplines will also be given to parents and children.
All the winners of the various competitions organised at schools will also be honoured.
Poster exhibitions will also be organised to make children aware of social issues like domestic violence, child marriage, gender discrimination and child rights.
Besides, films Khushi, Swashakti, Paheli will be screened.
As a gift from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on International Women's Day, women can visit historical buildings, including Bara Imambara, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Picture Gallery, Darwaza, and Ghantaghar for free.
On the district magistrate's directive, an order has been issued in this regard by the Hussainabad Trust.
