Under Gamak series a splendid evening of classical music was enjoyed by the Bhopalites on Sunday at Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum.
Classical singing was performed by noted classical singer Divya Sharma Jangid. Classical Singer Divya Sharma Jangid performed Khayal singing- 'Balam Na Aaye', composed in Raag Jog, composed in Madhyalaya Teen Taal - 'Sajan More Ghar Aaye', composed in three songs Presented the best knowledge to all the ragas and bhajans and restrictions like 'Sadho, Guru Guru Bhave'.
She was accompanied by Ashes Upadhyay on tabla, on Harmonium by Jeetendra Sharma and Meenesh Gaur on Tanpura. Prior to this performance renowned Santoor maestro Shruti Adhikari made the atmosphere calm with her wonderous performance. Born in a family of musicians, Shruti is a prolific artist of the state and is known among the best female maestro.
In the santoor recital from well-known santoor player Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma, a skilled artist presented raga puriya kalyan in virtue of gentle behavior. In his speech of more than one hour, she maintained the discipline of ragas well.
Manoj Patidar accompanied her on the tabla. As she began playing the different ragas, the audience was wooed by the performance. Both of them equally created a melodious magic as they hit the strings of the santoor. Their commitment and enthusiasm towards the instrument and classical music made the classical music lovers appreciate their performance.
