CM flags off five more e-buses in Dehradun

Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat flagged off five electric buses to be operated under the smart city project on the Raipur-Selaqui route here on Tuesday. The CM also inaugurated smart toilet on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that the operation of these electric buses will enable convenient transport for the public while not causing pollution. He appreciated the various features of the electric buses.

Dehradun Smart City Limited chief executive officer Ashish Kumar Srivastava informed that with a fully charged battery, each of these electric buses can run for 180 kilometres.

The buses have CCTV cameras, automatic transmission, GPS, fire extinguishers, regeneration system and various facilities for the convenience and safety of the passengers. Urban Development minister Banshidhar Bhagat, MP Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah, Dehradun mayor Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’, MLAs Harbans Kapoor, SS Pundir, Khajan Das and Umesh Sharma ‘Kau’ were also present on the occasion.
