“Today, with the joint effort of the Government and the Tata Steel Foundation, an 80-bed oxygenated hospital has been inaugurated. I especially thank the officials of the Tata Steel Foundation, West Bokaro. The effort made by the Tata Steel Foundation in this hour of crisis is greatly appreciated. I am confident that the health system in the district will be strengthened by the coordination, commitment and efforts of all of us. With the cooperation of all, this battle will be won,” he said.

Expressing concern about the black fungus, the Chief Minister asked the administration to keep an eye on the problem of black fungus and directed to ensure prompt treatment on the cases so that the infection can be prevented.

Pulse oximeters, health kits and medicines are being made available in all Anganwadi centres of the State, so that patients can get treatment in the initial stages.

As many as 20 lakh rapid antigen kits have been provided to increase corona screening before vaccination in rural areas.

The Covid Care Centre is equipped with four manifold facilities where 16 jumbo oxygen cylinders can further be added. Tata Steel will also provide medicines, PPE kits, biomedical waste management as well as food for patients and basic facilities like cleaning and sanitisation of the Centre.

The Centre also has three bio-toilets in its premises to ensure eco-friendly sanitation.
