Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday discussed with AIIMS Bhubaneswar doctors on the health condition of Covid-affected Leader of Opposition (LoP) and BJP leader Pradipta Kumar Naik, who is currently in ICU in AIIMS since last 16 days.
The CM interacted with AIIMS and SCB Hospital doctors, who are taking care of Naik’s treatment. The doctors reported that Naik is now Covid negative, but there is widespread inflammation and lung infection, for which he is on ventilator and his condition continues to be serious. They are making best possible efforts for his early recovery. AIIMS Director Geetanjali Batmanabane thanked the State Government for its help in the treatment of Naik, especially the timely support of critical medicines.
The Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of the doctors and requested them to provide the best healthcare for Naik and assured all support from the State Government.
