Chief Minister Hemant Soren is set to arrive at Mangra under Barwadeeh block in Latehar district on Monday to attend the wedding ceremony of the daughter of Manika MLA Ramchander Singh, said sources.

Singh has confirmed the visit of the CM on Monday. The MLA has his native house at Mangra.

The visit of the CM has swung the officials in Latehar into action. DC Abu Imran and SP Anjani Anjan on Saturday had an inspection of the makeshift helipad at Mangra.

Civil surgeon Latehar Dr Haren Chandra Mahto and Ved Prakash, a health official, today reached one Anganwadi centre at Bareyni, which is a vaccination site.

Mahto said he is urging people to take the vaccine. Ved Prakash said hesitancy towards the vaccine is declining now.

The Civil Surgeon said the Kechki sub health centre has achieved 98 per cent of the first dose and 51 per cent of the second dose of the vaccination.

Ved Prakash said, “We have cross verified this vaccination figure of 98 percent and 51 percent by the BDO Barwadeeh Rakesh Sahay as well.”

Sources said the Chief Minister may like to felicitate healthcare workers for their exceptional work on Monday.

The Civil surgeon said he has shortlisted two names and has sent a letter of recommendation to the DC Latehar Abu Imran on November 27.

The two healthcare workers who have done spectacular performance in Covid-19 vaccination are ANM Gangi Kumari and MPW Anil Kumar.

DC Latehar Abu Imran said the recommendation letter of the civil surgeon has reached him with the two names.

Imran said the civil surgeon has maintained in his letter about 98 percent first dose vaccination and 51 percent second dose vaccination at Kechki sub health centre.
