Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the Sambal Yojana provides support to the poor before birth till after death. Under the scheme,four thousand rupees is given before the birth of the child, sixteen thousand rupees after birth, then ex gratia assistance is provided for studies, ration, house, treatment and after death.
The previous Government stopped giving benefits of the scheme to the poor. Our Government has revived the scheme and every poor is being registered and benefits are being provided under the scheme. Chief Minister Chouhan transferred ex-gratia assistance amounting to Rs 224 crore 08 lakh to 10 thousand 285 beneficiaries of Sambal Yojana through single click in a programme organized at Minto Hall on Tuesday.
Minerals and Labour Minister Brijendra Pratap Singh, MP V.D. Sharma, Principal Secretary Umakant Umrao and Labour Commissioner Ashutosh Awasthi etc. were present.
Chouhan said that the government has decided that no poor will live in a kuchha house and by the year 2024 everyone will have a solid shelter. Also, tap water will be provided in every house.
He said that the Madhya Pradesh government pays attention first and foremost to the person at the bottom and the last person in the society. The government is arranging food, clothing, shelter, education and medicine for every poor.
