Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday inaugurated development and construction works costing Rs 448.77 crores in Mungeli and Bmemetara districts.
This was done during a virtual programme organized from his residence-cum-office here, an official communication said. The projects cost Rs 276.12 crores in Mungeli and Rs 172.65 crores in Bemetara. On the occasion, Baghel announced the opening of a 50-bed Maternal Child Hospital at Saja on the request of Agriculture and Water Resources Minister Ravindra Choubey.
He said that the benefits of the Chhattisgarh government schemes and programmes are reaching all sections. He added that 171 Swami Atmanand English Medium Schools have been opened in the state so far so that no student gets left behind in education due to economic reasons.
It is a pleasant experience to see and hear the children of these schools conversing in fluent English. No one would have ever imagined that the children in government schools can speak English so well.
Baghel held discussions with farmers, women from self-help groups, children from Swami Atmanand English Medium School and beneficiaries of various government schemes.
