Coalition Govt in State is stable, says RPN Singh

Monday, 18 January 2021 | PNS | Ranchi

Amidst jibes from the opposition over instability of Chief Minister Hemant Soren's coalition government in the State, Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) In charge, RPN Singh on Sunday said that every day the BJP makes some nonsensical statements about the Government, but he wants to clearly assure that the people of Jharkhand have elected a coalition government for the entire five years.

On his visit to the State Capital to participate in a protest demonstration against three farm laws, Singh said this during a press meet organised at the party headquarter. He also attacked the Central Government for deducting fund for electricity dues of power generating company DVC and at the same time, the promise of fulfilling the party's election manifesto was reiterated prominently.

Singh said that the Congress party is working on the policy of zero tolerance on corruption and the discussions have also been held at the administrative level. “Many committees like the monitoring committee to prevent corruption at the village level have been constituted,” he added.

Giving the example of PDS system, the party State In charge said that there was a huge leakage in this system during the tenure of BJP Government. He said that the partition of such committees should be done soon among the allies, and the party is making efforts for this.

Singh said that the state Congress has formed a committee of four persons for monitoring how the 20-point committee will be distributed among coalition partners. “The committee includes JPCC Chief, Rameshwar Oraon, legislative party leader Alamgir Alam, JPCC executive president Rajesh Thakur and Keshav Mahato Kamlesh. This committee will discuss with JMM,” he added.

Attacking the Central Government, the JPCC In charge said that the Modi Government is adopting a dictatorial attitude on the farmers who are called the Annadata of the Country. “Unfortunately, 70 percent of the people in this Country are either farmers or work in the fields. Modi Government has attacked them and is trying to end them.

Our coalition government introduced a farm loan waiver to provide relief to the farmers. The Congress party is determined to fight for the farmers from the road to the parliament,” he added.

Singh said that it is sad that the state level leader of BJP is silent on the way the Center is cutting the amount of money that Jharkhand has.

This money does not belong to any political party, this money is the money for the progress of Jharkhand, he added.
