Cong starts ambulance service for Covid patients

The Uttarakhand unit of Congress party started a free ambulance service for patients of Covid-19 on Sunday. The party has also released a helpline number for the ambulance service. The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Pritam Singh flagged off the service on Sunday.

He said that the ambulance would have an oxygen facility and it would be used to transport Covid 19 patients from their homes to the hospitals. He said that the free ambulance service would help the patients as complaints of non availability of ambulances are coming.

The PCC president said that the party workers are also supplying food to the Covid patients and one team of the party workers is also helping patients in the hospitals. Singh added that the party has also undertaken an awareness campaign under which people are being taught about Covid appropriate behaviour. The party workers are also distributing masks, sanitizers and soaps under the campaign.

The president of Mahanagar Congress Lal Chand Sharma said that the ambulance is equipment required for emergency.
