With the nomination process for three-tier panchayat elections in the state capital starting, the Uttar Pradesh Congress on Wednesday announced the names of its candidates. The list for first phase elections was already announced by the party last Saturday night.
According to an official communiqué released on Wednesday, UPCC president Ajay Kumar `Lallu' cleared the names of 25 candidates for panchayat members seats in Chinhat, Bakshi Ka Talab, Mall, Malihabad, Kakori, Sarojininagar, Mohanlalganj and Gosainganj in Lucknow.
Earlier on Saturday, Congress had released the first list of party candidates for panchayat polls in Agra, Ayodhya, Bareilly, Bhadohi, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Hardoi, Hathras, Jaunpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Mahoba, Prayagraj, Rampur, Saharanpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, and Shravasti.
